La Leche League of Ithaca
La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing support, encouragement, information, and education to women who want to breastfeed.
Our Ithaca group offers two different monthly meetings, one morning one evening, as well as phone help. The nearby Trumansburg group has a monthly evening meeting as well. The meetings are a place to learn from other nursing mothers, make friends, ask questions, borrow books, and enjoy an adult setting where babies and children are welcome. Leaders are also available by phone any time you like.
While every meeting has a topic, we happily stray from it. We address every question that anyone brings to a meeting, so don't worry that the topic doesn't fit your situation.
